This Privacy Policy explains how My Company RCHL (referred to as "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and shares information about you when you use:

  • our mobile application "Horoscope & Daily Astrology" (the "App");
  • our website at https://www.astrostar.cn and any other websites that link to this Privacy Policy (together, the "Sites"); and
  • any related content, features, tools, and services that link to this Privacy Policy (collectively, the "Services").

By using the Services, you agree that your information will be handled as described in this Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

Adults only. Horoscope & Daily Astrology is intended for adults (18+) and is not directed to children (see Section 10). The Services are available to users worldwide, subject to applicable local laws.

Key Points (Plain English)

  • We use your birth details to generate personalized astrology content (charts, transits, Big Three, compatibility, daily/weekly/monthly insights).
  • We offer paid features via subscriptions and Ask AI question credits (consumable in-app purchases). Payments are processed by app stores (for example, Google Play or the Apple App Store).
  • We use analytics and attribution tools (for example, GA4/Firebase, AppsFlyer, and Umeng) to understand feature usage and measure marketing performance.
  • We do not use device location permissions to obtain your precise GPS location. When your device communicates with our servers, we may receive technical information such as IP address, and we may use it to infer your country/region at a coarse level (see Section 2.2).
  • Offers and purchase options shown in the App (such as pricing, availability, trial options, and promotions) may vary based on factors like your region, eligibility, app context, referral source, or product testing. You will always see the applicable terms presented to you before you complete a purchase.
  • We do not sell your personal data to data brokers, and we do not show third-party ads inside the App.
  • You can request account/data deletion and exercise privacy rights (see Sections 8–9).

1. Definitions

  • "Personal data" means information that identifies or relates to an identifiable individual.
  • "Processor" / "Service provider" means a vendor that processes personal data on our behalf under contract.
  • "Sensitive data" may include precise birth time/place, relationship details, or any information you enter into Ask AI.

2. Personal Data We Collect

The types of personal data we collect depend on how you use the Services. We collect information:

  • you provide directly;
  • generated automatically when you use the Services; and
  • received from third parties (for example, app stores and analytics/attribution providers).

2.1 Information You Provide

2.1.1 Astrology Profile & Birth Details

To generate personalized astrology charts and guidance, you may provide:

  • date of birth
  • time of birth (if known; you may select "unknown" or approximate time)
  • place of birth (for example, city/country)
  • optional profile fields (for example, name/nickname; optional gender depending on version)

We use this information to compute and personalize:

  • natal charts and other charts (including Vedic charts and divisional charts, where available)
  • planetary transits, dasha cycles, panchang/hora time windows
  • content in modules such as Today, Weekly Forecast, Monthly Forecast, Explore, Compatibility, and Big Three (Sun/Rising/Moon), as well as Ask AI

Storage note: Depending on the version of the Services and your settings, we may store (a) your birth details and/or (b) derived astrological data (for example, chart factors, internal IDs) to provide continuity, caching, and personalization. You can request deletion (see Section 9).

We do not use birth details for third-party advertising and do not sell them to data brokers.

2.1.2 Compatibility / Match (Information About Another Person)

If you use Compatibility / Match features, you may provide information about another person (for example, partner/friend), such as:

  • name or nickname
  • date of birth, time of birth, place of birth
  • optional fields (for example, gender if provided)
  • relationship label (for example, partner/friend/other)

By providing this information, you confirm you have that person's permission or another lawful basis to share their information. We use it only to generate compatibility results inside the Services. You should not upload sensitive information about others that you do not have permission to share.

2.1.3 Account & Login (Where Available)

If the Services provide account features, we may collect:

  • email address (for email login, if enabled)
  • display name/nickname
  • authentication tokens or similar login credentials (passwords, if used, are stored only in hashed form)

If you use third-party sign-in (for example, Google), we may receive limited profile information such as email and display name, and a provider account ID.

2.1.4 In-App Purchases, Subscriptions, and Ask AI Credits

We offer paid features that may include:

  • subscriptions (for example, weekly/monthly/yearly) unlocking premium features and/or premium content
  • Ask AI question credits (consumable in-app purchases) (for example, question packs)

Payments are processed by the app store (for example, Google Play or Apple App Store). We do not receive or store your full payment card number.

We may receive and store purchase-related information such as:

  • product identifier / SKU (for example, subscription plan or Ask AI credit pack)
  • transaction/order ID
  • purchase date, renewal date, subscription status, and entitlement status
  • country/region associated with your store account
  • price paid and currency (as reported/available for verification and accounting)

We use this information to:

  • verify purchases and manage entitlements (unlocking premium content/features)
  • deliver Ask AI credits and manage credit balances
  • support billing/access troubleshooting and fraud prevention

2.1.5 Ask AI Inputs, Messages, and Feedback

When you use Ask AI or other input fields, we may process:

  • your questions and messages
  • the context you choose to include
  • relevant astrological context attached to your request (for example, chart factors)
  • the generated responses and, where available, conversation history

Important: Please avoid entering highly sensitive personal information (for example, medical diagnoses, government IDs, or precise home address) into Ask AI. If you do, you do so at your discretion.

If you contact support, we collect the content of your message and any attachments, and contact details you provide.

2.2 Information Generated Automatically When You Use the Services

2.2.1 Device, App, and Usage Data

We may collect:

  • app installation, version, and update information
  • device information (model, OS version, language, time zone, screen resolution)
  • network information (for example, IP address; network type such as Wi-Fi/cellular)
  • general interaction events (for example, screen views, button taps, feature usage)
  • diagnostic logs, crash reports, and performance data

We use this to:

  • operate the Services reliably
  • debug issues and improve performance
  • understand feature adoption and navigation flows

2.2.2 Paywall / Promotion Context (Source Tracking)

To understand which purchase entry points and promotions are effective (and to improve user experience), we may record paywall context such as:

  • which entry point opened a purchase screen (for example, new-user paywall, feature-gated detail, profile/manage subscription page)
  • whether a limited-time promotion was shown (for example, a welcome discount)
  • selected plan at checkout time
  • general campaign/referral or measurement context and/or experiment identifiers (where applicable)

This data is used for analytics and conversion measurement and is not used to sell your data or to show third-party ads inside the App.

2.2.3 Approximate Location & Time Zone (No Precise GPS by Default)

We do not access your precise GPS location by default, and we do not request location permissions for core operation.

For certain functions, we may rely on:

  • your device time zone; and/or
  • a location you manually select (city/region), or a generic default location for that region

In addition, when you use the Services and your device communicates with our servers, the server may automatically receive technical information from network requests (for example, IP address). We may use such information to infer your country/region at a coarse level. We use this coarse location inference for purposes such as:

  • operational security, fraud prevention, and basic service integrity
  • aggregated analytics and reporting by country/region
  • product measurement and testing (for example, evaluating different in-app flows or offers)

We treat this as functional and measurement data, and not as precise location tracking.

2.3 Information from Third Parties

We may receive personal data from:

  • app stores (purchase/subscription status and transaction metadata)
  • analytics providers (aggregated usage and conversion measurement; for example, GA4/Firebase, Umeng)
  • attribution providers (install and campaign attribution; for example, AppsFlyer)
  • astrology API providers (chart/transit calculations based on birth details we send as processors)
  • AI providers (Ask AI response generation as processors)
  • login providers (if enabled, for example, Google)

We use this information consistent with this Privacy Policy and our contracts with those providers.

3. How We Use Personal Data

We use personal data to:

3.1 Provide and Maintain the Services

  • generate astrology charts and derived insights (including Big Three, transits, dashas, panchang/hora)
  • provide Today/Weekly/Monthly content and other modules
  • deliver Ask AI responses and credits
  • operate account functionality (where available)

3.2 Personalize Your Experience

  • tailor content and recommendations based on your profile and usage
  • highlight relevant time windows, themes, and insights
  • present purchase options in the appropriate context (for example, showing an offer in a certain entry point, or applying eligibility rules), and support product testing intended to improve user experience

3.3 Process Purchases and Manage Entitlements

  • verify purchases/subscriptions with app stores
  • enable/disable premium access and deliver Ask AI credits
  • handle billing-related support and fraud prevention

3.4 Communicate With You

  • service notices (policy updates, purchase/access issues)
  • optional reminders/notifications (you can manage these in device settings and, where available, in-app settings)

3.5 Analytics, Measurement, and Product Improvement

  • measure feature usage and funnel performance (for example, sign-up, checkout, purchase)
  • evaluate UI/flow changes and fix bugs
  • measure marketing performance and attribution (for example, whether campaigns lead to installs/purchases)
  • run measurement activities and experiments (where applicable) to evaluate features, flows, and offers

3.6 Safety, Security, and Legal Compliance

  • prevent abuse, fraud, and security incidents
  • enforce Terms and protect users
  • comply with legal obligations and respond to lawful requests

We do not sell your personal data to data brokers.

We do not use your birth details for third-party advertising.

4. AI & Automated Content

Horoscope & Daily Astrology uses automated systems and third-party AI models to generate certain content (including Ask AI responses and textual interpretations).

When you use these features:

  • we may send your prompts and relevant context (including selected astrological factors) to AI providers to generate responses on our behalf;
  • we require AI providers by contract to act as processors and use data only to provide services to us (not for their independent advertising);
  • we may store AI interactions and responses to provide chat history (where available), maintain service quality, and improve prompts and system behavior; where feasible, we use aggregated or de-identified data for analytics.

Important disclaimer: AI and astrology content may be approximate, incomplete, or inaccurate and is provided for entertainment and self-reflection purposes only. It is not medical, legal, financial, or professional advice.

5. How We Share Personal Data

We do not sell personal data to data brokers. We may share personal data in these cases:

5.1 Service Providers / Processors

We share data with vendors who help us operate the Services, such as:

  • cloud hosting and infrastructure
  • astrology calculation providers
  • AI content providers
  • analytics and crash/diagnostics providers (for example, GA4/Firebase, Umeng)
  • attribution/measurement providers (for example, AppsFlyer)
  • app stores and billing verification tools
  • customer support and email communication tools (where used)

These providers may access personal data only to perform services on our behalf and are bound to protect it.

5.2 Legal, Safety, and Compliance

We may disclose information if reasonably necessary to:

  • comply with law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request
  • protect the rights, safety, and security of My Company RCHL, our users, or others
  • detect/prevent fraud, security, or technical issues

5.3 Business Transfers

If we are involved in a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, personal data may be transferred as part of that transaction, subject to appropriate safeguards.

6. International Data Transfers

We may process and store data in countries outside your country of residence (including the United States and China), where our infrastructure and providers may be located. Where required by law, we use appropriate safeguards for international transfers.

7. Data Retention

We retain personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this Privacy Policy, including:

  • providing the Services and maintaining your profile/entitlements
  • security, fraud prevention, and dispute resolution
  • compliance with legal, tax, and accounting obligations

Retention examples (may vary by feature/settings):

  • Profile and derived astrology data: retained while you use the Services or until you delete it/request deletion
  • Ask AI history (where available): retained to provide history and improve service; you may request deletion
  • Analytics/measurement data: retained per provider controls and our settings, and we periodically minimize what we keep
  • Backups: may persist for a limited period; we isolate deleted data from active use until backups rotate

When data is no longer needed, we delete it or anonymize it.

8. Your Rights & Choices

Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict certain processing.

8.1 Access, Correction, and Deletion

You may request:

  • access to personal data we hold about you
  • correction of inaccurate information
  • deletion of personal data (subject to legal exceptions)

8.2 Notifications

You can control push notifications in your device settings and, where available, in-app settings.

8.3 Analytics / Attribution Choices (GA4/Firebase / AppsFlyer / Umeng)

Depending on your device and region, you may be able to:

  • reset or limit your device advertising identifier (for example, Android Advertising ID settings)
  • manage device "ad personalization" settings
  • use consent controls presented in the App (where legally required)

Limiting analytics/attribution may reduce our ability to measure and improve the Services.

8.4 Additional Rights (EEA/UK)

You may have additional rights such as objection, restriction, portability, and the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

8.5 California Rights (CCPA/CPRA)

If you are a California resident, you may request information about categories of personal information collected and request deletion, subject to legal exceptions. We do not sell your personal information to data brokers. To exercise rights, contact us at notice@astrostar.cn.

9. Account & Data Deletion

Where the App provides an in-app deletion path, you can request deletion through in-app settings, typically under "My" / "Info" / "Account Management" / "Delete Account" (or similarly labeled).

Upon confirmed deletion, we will delete or anonymize personal data from active systems, subject to legal obligations and legitimate business needs (for example, accounting records related to transactions). If you have difficulty, contact notice@astrostar.cn.

10. Children's Privacy

The Services are intended for adults (18+) and are not directed to children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided personal data, contact notice@astrostar.cn and we will take reasonable steps to delete it.

11. Platform Permissions & Google Play Data Safety

11.1 Android Permissions

The App may request permissions necessary to:

  • connect to servers and third-party APIs
  • process subscriptions and in-app purchases
  • perform basic analytics, measurement, and diagnostics

Examples may include:

  • INTERNET
  • ACCESS_NETWORK_STATE (where used)
  • com.android.vending.BILLING

We aim to request the minimum permissions necessary and do not access contacts, SMS, or precise GPS for core operation unless clearly described and permitted.

11.2 Data Safety

We aim to keep our Google Play Data Safety disclosures consistent with this Privacy Policy. If we change our data practices, we will update both this Privacy Policy and our Data Safety disclosures before changes go live.

12. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal data, including encryption in transit (TLS/HTTPS) and access controls. No system is 100% secure. If you believe your account or data has been compromised, contact us at notice@astrostar.cn.

13. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If changes are material, we will:

  • post the updated policy in the App and/or Sites
  • update the "Last Updated" date
  • provide additional notice or obtain consent where required by law

Your continued use of the Services after the effective date means you have read and understood the updated policy.
